After the tragedy tsunami disaster in 2004, Qatar Charity has made a considerable contribution to the efforts of reconstruction and rehabilitation in the affected areas.

Qatar Charity Indonesia (QCI) is currently seeking:

Position: Livelihood Program Coordinator
Report to: Program Manager
Contract length: 01 year (Including 3 months probation period)
Duty Station: Jakarta

Livelihood Program Coordinator

Areas of responsibility

  1. Oversee the implementation of Qatar Charity Economic Empowerment Program in accordance with financial and programmatic frame.
  2. Facilitate program development through conceptualization, design, proposal and program initiation
  3. Build and/or improve systems to supervise and manage the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the programme
  4. Provide relevant technical expertise to ensure that technical quality and standards are maintain during project implementation
  5. Lead and participate in Livelihood projects needs assessments
  6. Ensure program quality adheres to QC standards and other standards as necessary
  7. Conduct community assessments to identify critical requirements for program interventions in vulnerable populations.
  8. Maintain ongoing Qatar Charity livelihood activities in microcredit, small enterprise, livestock and other income generating activities.
  9. Promote and work to expand community capacity on livelihoods with sensitivity to the financial and cultural context
  10. Develop Qatar Charity livelihood activities with emphasis on response to perceived needs indicated by communities and beneficiaries.
  11. Consult with peer and UN agencies on international standards with regards to program design and implementation
  12. Review and write all livelihoods and livelihoods-inclusive proposals, reports, assessment and research in consultation with Program Manager.
  13. Submit monthly and quarterly reports by collection of information and data from the field, data analysis and report documentation

Qualifications and experience

  1. Minimum qualification is bachelor degree.
  2. At least 02 years experience in initiating and coordinating Income generating activities projects preferably in the NGO sector; International experience will be an advantage.
  3. Proven skills in managing st! aff reporting to her/him; excellent coordination skills
  4. Ability to link with other players in the economic empowerment field and represent QC effectively
  5. Ability to travel extensively especially to remote areas
  6. Experience in and the ability to train people;
  7. Commitment to the aims and objectives of QC

Key Competencies required

  1. A proven record of long-term vision and strategic planning as well as analytical/critical thinking skills.
  2. Proven experience in income generating activities and development programming 
  3. Proven record of effective human resources & financial management – including the ability to coordinate donor reporting, as required by donors' procedures.
  4. Excellent communication & capacity building skills
  5. Ability to work flexibly,  & meet deadlines
  6. Fluent English and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  7. Excellent writing and reporting ability.
  8. Excellent proposal writing! skills.
  9. Good interpersonal skills to ensure effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners including governmental institutions.
  10. Strong analytical and presentation (oral and written) skills including use of essential computer software packages.
  11. The ability to meet deadlines, achieve results and work with minimal day to day supervision.
