GENERAL MANAGER Human Resources & Administration

The incumbent will report to The HR Director and be responsible for the full spectrum of HR function mainly overseeing and managing the overall HR administration, recruitment, organization development, C & B, staff payroll, performance and talent management as well as industrial relation for 12.000 plus employees and expatriates all over Indonesia .

 

The primary roles and function of the position will include:

  • Lead a team of HR specialist to handle day to day C & B and payroll admin, which include:
    1. Administration of personnel transactions covering letters of appointments, employment contracts, confirmations, transfer, promotions, termination, dismissal, resignation acceptance, retirements, retrenchments, as well as change of status, discipline, annual leave, etc.
    2. Process and handle payroll administration to ensure payroll is accurate and delivered on a timely manner.
    3. Responsible for data maintenance and data integrity, ensuring timeliness of data entry and also data accuracy by HRIS
  • Works closely with top management team to provide HR support, anticipate employee and organizational issues and make recommendations and implement solutions to attract, motivate, develop and retain employees.
  • Administer the company's personnel policies and procedures; ensuring compliance within the company's objective.
  • Planning and execution of organization changes and provide counseling, motivation and assisting staff for career conversion
  • Recruiting, grooming, retention and aligning human resource with the company business direction
  • Oversee in performance management, compensation and benefits policy, including insurances and different allowances
  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs
  • Involvement in annual salary reviews, bonus reviews, annual increments, options reviews, performance shares reviews, etc.
  • Involvement in managing industrial relation and active member of Bipartite and represent management in any dispute resolution with union committee.
    • Manage the implementation of wage and salary management, job evaluation, performance appraisal, incentives, life, health and disability insurance, and related programs
    • Analyzes o! f survey results and recommends changes to compensation and pr! ogram to maintain objectives and competitive position in the marketplace
    • Provide support to various business units to develop manpower planning and resourcing to attract and retain talent, implement induction and placement program, conduct exit interview and to enhance new employees' retention.

 

Major requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in any major from a recognized university plus an MBA degree would be an advantage.
  • At least 15 years of HR management experience preferably in a matrix retail environment in which 5 years in a similar capacity in large unionized MNC. 
  • Must have working experience in computerized payroll system environment and be familiar with any major HRIS and payroll software
  • Ability to overall management strategy in staffing planning, recruiting, hiring, training and development, performance planning, management and improvement and succession planning.
  • Ability to manage policy development, documentation and implementation; oversees employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.
  • Familiar with the Indonesian Labour Law and Regulation, Employee relation and communication.
  • The position has a high level of independence and candidate must have a high level of maturity to manage multiple ongoing issues and ! complex employee related matters with minimum supervision and with excellent follow up.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill; and able to interface effectively across all levels of the organization.
